We are ending the semester, and I was given the assignment to assemble the materials used in this course for my own professional goals. As mentioned below, I am an Envirothon coach, and I have been using this course and blog as a way to better investigate the topics our Envirothon team needs to understand. Now that I have a much better understanding of many of these topics, I decided to use my final assignment to create lesson plans that will have the students investigate similar topics as they prepare for their Envirothon competition in March.
This blog covers an analysis of the biodiversity of the North Anna Nuclear Power Plant and Mountain View High School's Watershed

Apologies for delay in posts
Hello everyone! I apologize for the delay in posts. I had a little bit of a learning curve with figuring out how to use some of these tools. Thank you to our class professor, Jim Egenrieder, for helping me figure those challenges out. I also had some challenges properly delineating the watershed that my school was in. I completely redid my initial presentation. I have now updated all of my slides to more accurately represent the watershed that Mountain View High School is located in. I hope you enjoy looking through them :)

Welcome!
Welcome to the Lower Potomac Watershed Exploration page. I will update this blog with information on research and findings that I and my students complete the Lower Potomac Watershed related to its characteristics, stewardship, and how to protect it.
